Free Motion Experience Mary Ellen Sakai Saturday, June 2, 10am-4pm In this informative class you will learn to improve your free motion skills! We will warm up with stippling and move on to new free motion patterns and background fills. We will also cover double needlework, decorative thread techniques and much more. You will leave this class a more skilled quilter filled with confidence (Knowledge of basic machine quilting is a must). |

Big Block Jelly Logs Sam Hunter Sunday, June 3 11am-5pm Choose either the Log Cabin or Courthouse Step to make a generous lap quilt in this fast and easy one day class. Big Block Jelly Logs are two different quilts based on easy log cabin style construction techniques. Each quilt top is made from one big block. The Radiant Jelly Log glows from a light center to dark edges, and the Jelly Courthouse Steps alternates light and dark strips to make a striking contrast. Either quilt needs only 40 jelly roll strips. Confident beginners welcome. |

Letty Bag Sam Hunter Sunday, June 10, 10am-4pm In this fun one-day class, you will complete Letty's Bag, the new darling of the quilted bag patterns on the market today. Made from 3 fabrics, the bag is approx 15 inches tall. It has two interior pockets all the way around the inside bottom, an optional cell phone pocket for the inside, and the big pretty pocket with a decorative button on the outside. The strap runs through 8 big grommets and can be used single across the body, or doubled over the shoulder or arm - either way, when the strap is pulled the bag automatically closes up. When open, it is a lovely big square bag that is easy to load up with your favorite goodies. It can be used as a tote or as a roomy everyday purse. Skill Level: Confident beginner to Intermediate - must be comfortable with using a walking foot. |

Culture Club - With Dorine Nieuwenhuijs & Margaret McNeal2nd Class, Tuesday, June 12 10am-4pmThe Culture Club is new type of monthly project. Every six months there will be a new collection of fabrics designed by Leesa Chandler Designs for Robert Kaufman inspired by a different country. There will be a range of projects inspired by its culture, architecture, customs and history. There will be patterns for quilts, handbags, pillows and other items. Passage to India is the first fabric collection. Once a month we will have classes for the projects designed for these fabrics. Come see some of the samples for the Passage to India projects at New Moon Textiles. You may choose which patterns you are interested in and we will make up your kits for your classes. The class fee is $10, plus the kit fee for your chosen project. Check out our calendar for the class dates available.
